Storyline:
Right after the end of World War 2, a compassionate Dutch Policeman helps
smuggle a Jewish woman into British Palestine.
Additional information:
Originally Nathalie Wood would play the leading role but she dropped
out. The film was about to get shot on location in Tanger but due to
difficulties between The United Kingdom and Morocco some of these scenes were shot in the Elstree Studios
in London. In April 1962 the film’s title was changed from The Inspector to
Lisa for it’s American release.
In real life Dolores Hart at the age of 24 gave up all the fame and
glory and became a nun, renouncing all earthly pleasures.
